The group was established in 2002 at Mackenzie University and in 2006 it was accredited by USP’s EEFE. The members have already published works as books chapters and articles in academic journals, with repercussions in important vehicles like Science and other resulting in a patent. They have also been participating in events on Physical Education and Sport, such as the Annual Congress of European College of Sport Science, International Judo Federation Symposium (with awarded works in 2005, 2007 and 2009), First Martial Arts Scientific Congress. Some of its members act in the preparation of athletes of international level, including Olympic medalists.
